This is what we're about
Hoi
Polloi is a New York-based collaborative theater company formed in 2007
by director Alec Duffy. The company creates original work that
strives to
explore how we, as Americans, come together and how we fall apart.
Hoi Polloi is also dedicated to presenting the work of the most
imaginative of today's playwrights.
This is information: Hoi Polloi is an Ancient Greek phrase that means "the masses," or "the people."
Hoi
Polloi's work has been supported by the Lower Manhattan Cultural
Council, the Puffin Foundation, the Drama League and the Edith Lutyens
and Norman Bel Geddes Foundation, as well as by donations from many generous
individuals.
